Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

I have not had the opportunity to buy the new Kim Hughes stamps from her new brand line called Paper Smooches but man oh man do I want to. I'm saving up for a few lovely sets. Anywho, I found this challenge on her blog and decided to join. It is based off a picture she found on Etsy. So the challenge was to include some kind of wood texture, and the colors shown as well as pearls and such. Sort of a vintage feel. Because I don't have any of her recent stamps I had to pull out some oldies but goodies from CHF, this one is from the baby stamp set called 'Baby love'. I used a wood grain embossing folder on my cuttlebug and used a ginormous Marvy punch for the image. I also had some Making Memories pearl flowers that I hadn't used so I added them to the flowers as an accent. Hopefully this is what Kim was looking for :).

UNITY Sketch Challenge: Midgnight Margaritas

Hello again, Here is the sketch challenge for Unity. I used the adorable Margarita set and added some glitter around the rim of the margarita. I LOVE this stamp set, I'm thinking of  making some for my girls and having a lil Margarita fest ;). Anywho, here is the sketch challenge.

And here is my card:

Unity July KOTM Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone, here is my card for the  Unity July KOTM Challenge .The challenge is the image on the left.

I used the adorable lil bees and the saying is "we're better together'. I looked through my paper stack and noticed I hadn't used any of my awesome Bam Pop papers (http://bampop.com/), so that is the striped multi-colored paper in the back. I then used some red-orange textured paper with some EK knotted wood rub ons and some manly dark brads to add some accents. Fingers crossed for the $45 set (EEEK!!!) :) So here is the final product!! Thanks for stopping by!!

TCP Tuesday Challenge

I'm a day late for the challenge, but I decided to do it anyways :D. I love TCP stamps, and I hadn't yet used my summer ones, since I got them late last year but I'm so excited to ink them up. I used Poochie on a surfboard and fixed this crazy highlighter yellow card to sort of fit in with the challenge. This is what I came up with:
I made a wave mask out of plain printer paper and went at it with my versamark and embossing powders. I filled in the spaces with white gel pen. I made a semi circle mask and then used my Distress inks in Mustard seed and Spiced Marmalade to make the sun. Popped Poochie out and DONE!!! Thanks for stopping by ...again!!

Rockabilly Thank You

So I finally broke out my new Rockabilly stamp from TGF and decided to participate in the Club Anya challenge!! I used some gorgeous "The Paper Studio" paper in 'Sugar and Spice' (which has cupcakes and other goodies with glitter, this is the blue and red parts), My Cricut 'Tie the Knot' to cut out the lil Thank you. Added some glitter hearts and a flower jewel in the hair and Vuala!!! haha I don't know how to spell that :D. Thanks for stopping by!!

Couldn't have done it with out ya!!!

So I know its been FOREVER since I've posted a blog. I'd like to say I'm going to post regularly, but I'd probably end up doing you all like I did my diary :D. I've been super busy. I graduated from college with a teaching degree a year ago, but was unable to get a contract because of a work survey. In the mean time I was substituting and was able to hold a vacancy for about 4 months with these crazy little 4th graders. I know some of you might be thinking "Aw, those cute lil' buggers"...well, they aren't that cute after a week or two with them, but not the less I will miss them. I'd have to say I'm glad I had such a tough class, they've shown me what It could be like and that I can hold my ground and still be a great teacher. Sometimes though, I really felt like it was too much and if it weren't for the supportive staff and the happy hour days, I couldn't have made it through. I decided to make a lil' thank you card and add a Starbucks gift card for all the shoulders I left soaking hehe. I found this awesome Stampabilities bear at Hobby Lobby for $2 (STEAL RIGHT???) and thought it'd be perfect.

They were super simple, and super fast. You can't really tell, but they are stamped on creme cardstock and I used my pale pink Copic and Skin white for the lil bear that was stamped in Chestnut Roan chalk ink(I love this stuff). The saying is from Verve stamps. I forgot the name of the set, but it includes others like "i want tohold your hand" and such...super cute!! Here's a close up of the card:
Thanks for stopping by!! Oh..P.S.....I ACTUALLY HAVE A JOB NOW...My badge will no longer read "Substitute"(which I hated by the way 'cause the kids think your not that important)but will now read TEACHER(EEEKK!!!! Super Excited!!) I'll be teaching 1st grade bilingual :D.Just wanted to share that lil bit of news :D Thanks again!!!
