Happy Birthday Lisa
Just wanted to share a card I made today for my wonderful cousin Lisa who will be turning 23 AHHH lol. The main image is by Close to my heart (love this set, it has like 8 images and is called "Be Yourself"). I used my Cricut to cut out the white oval and the black out, Hero Arts Birthday Frame stamp "Have a fabulous birthday", Scrappy Cat's Patricia's Garden stamps(the flowers in the background), and for the inside I used Happiest Birthday Wishes from My favorite things, as well as ribbon purchased from Hanna Stamps. Hope you like it!!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Graduated!!!!
So this post won't be so much about crafting, just blogging. I graduated Saturday with my Bach. in Interdisciplinary Studies aka Education. It sucks that it didn't hit me till i was waiting for my name to be called to walk across the stage, but WHAT A FEELING!!! I was so so so happy, it felt like i was going to come out in pictures all teeth, we've yet to see.
My family threw such a great party, and I was so happy to see everyone come out and celebrate with me. It was such a great turn out and I am so thankful for everyone that was there for me throughout my college career. So now I'm just hoping for the best and God willing I'll be able to land a contract and start my teaching.
I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend as well!!

Busy, Busy, Busy
So life's been pretty hectic. Too much to do, too little time to do it in. :( There are a ton of things i have to get done and it seems i have no room for stamping. But its so relaxing when i actually get a minute in. I have a couple of cards I've done. Mostly for my dear friends' birthday parties. And i have to get busy making on for my little brother's, whos not so little anymore, 19th birthday. One year I made him a card covered with tiny little bees all saying "BOO"..lol, The inside said..."got you something you wanted for your birthday...BOO-BEES lol. So yea here are the cards.
This first one I made for my good friend Yvette and it was based of this lovely card made by Julie from Amuse Art stamps (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1018132?si=sex%20and%20the%20city) ...so its pretty similar, but I used stamps from My favorite stamps "Going places: (http://www.mftstamps.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=230).
I used the building stamp and stamped once in the middle and then the sides. The ribbon is from Hanna stamps and i think that little martini glass is also from thier "Anthony set" (http://www.hannastamps.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=69_91&products_id=876). AH, so many links LOL. ANyways, loved the card she made and had to make it for my friend, the show reminds me of her so much!! Love you Yvette.
Ok, so next card was made for my dear grandmom who turned 70 in March. There were a ton of people coming over and I wanted to give everyone a chance to sign her card and decided to make it out of poster board. I didn't like the look of it in half, but it looked way better in fourths. I used Distress Ink in broken china, shabby shutters, and dusty concord all over the poster board so as not to leave it white and BORING. Then used some swirl stamps i had, my versamark and some pearl embossing powder on it too. I remember seeing a card with a huge cupcake made of tissue paper (which is what i was going for) but the tissue paper didnt want to co=operate so i cute out a cupcake shape on regular white cardstock. I then used some liquid applique and chucky glitter as the icing. OH...one thing i learned was that if you let the applique dry over night you actually get a better effect. Mine kind of looked a little wierd on this card because i was too impatient and just took my heat gun to it. OOPS!! lol, I put the cupcake on with pop up dots and then just used some chipboard letters i had laying around for the front.

Like always, I can't seem to find my other photos..:( I think i'm technologically challenged.. that sucks :(. But yea, hopefully I'll find more time to stamp since I will be graduating in a couple of weeks (YAY!!! FINALLY) LOOK OUT WORLD...NEW TEACHER COMING THROUGH!! :0)
HOpe you have a fantastic week or month...lets see how long it takes for me to be back on LOL.

Alas....I have found my camera cord!! WOO HOOO!! So here are a couple other cards I manged to make for V-day.
This first one is from one of my fav. sets by Kim Hughes. LOVE HER STUFF!!
I think the paper is from DCWV but not too sure which paper pad it comes from Sorry...it has lil stripes of glitter. So I used Memento's black ink and my prisma markers for the owl, brown staz on ink for the branch, prima flowers, and a word window punch, also used crystal effects on the the hearts in the punch and pop dots behind the owl.
This next one I made for my aunt who has a sort of obsession with spiders, and this one was even more perfect because it has a heart. Its an old set from Stampin Up...can't remember the name just now. I used my nestabilities and put some velum behind the spider. Used Staz on Ink and my prisma markers. Paper is by DCWV, the baby boy stack.
This next on I used Bam Pop robot heads. They are too cute. I wish they'd come up with new stamps though. Any who, I wanted to incorporate some of my CHF stamps (mona lisa moments, wedding) so i used the "Boy meets girl". The inside says "the rest is history" which I typed and has the two robot heads very close with a heart between them.
I used Staz On ink on colored card stock and cut the white part out using my cricut.
This one is using "Birds and Bees" stamps from CHF, aren't they adorable. Stamped the bees, hive and heart with Memento's ink and used my primas and some sparkle chalk, the ribbon is from Martha Stewart's Valentine's Collection and the remainder of the paper from my lil owl card. I just love the way things look on Craft Paper. I actually bought a set of 50 craft cards from Hobby Lobby for $7 but no I can't seem to find anymore :(, guess I just have to keep looking.
The last one I made was using Hero Arts china dolls. This is one of the cutest sets I've ever seen!!! I punched out a scalloped circle with my handy dandy Marvy punch and used the branches from a mini Hero Arts set and colored the blossoms in with my Blush Prisma Marker. The kimono is paper pieced from reg. blue card stock and I added a tiny lil prima flower in her hair with a pearl. The sentiment is from Rubber Soul's "Love" set.
Well, That's it for now. Hope fully I have time to make some new cards and not wait till weeks later to post them. LOL. Hope you all have a good week and thanks for checking my stuff out!! :0)

Been a while...
So it's been QUITE some time since i've been on. I hope you all had a fabuolous Valentine's day. My and my love bug happened to eat at a great Italian Restuarante in El Paso called "Como's". We happened to be lucky because we were seated immediatley with no wait time, and NO reservations. Lucky us!! Any who...just wanted to share a couple of cards I happened to make for Valentine's day. Hope you all enjoy. And ....Hopefully i can update regularly and maybe even start some blog candy...thats if i even get people to check my stuff out LOL. Well...here are the cards....Enjoy!!
This first card was made using The Cat's Pijama's Clearly Swanky Set. I love these two little frogs!! Thought this would be cute with the lyrics from the movie "JUNO" ...you know..."we sure are cute for two ugly people....I don't see what anyone can see in anyone else...but you!!". Cute huh?? The paper is from DCWV little boy nursery and the hearts are cut out using my loveable Cricut with the DoodleCharms heart. I colored it using Prisma color markers and added some glitter with a Spica pen. I took a sponge to the edges using Brick Red Distress in by Tim Holts and popped it up with some pop dots. I aslo used CHF's Quirky Alphabet by Kim Hughes and TA-DA...my cute little frog card. LOL
Well...Having some difficulties with my camera...have to find the cord to connect it, since I apparently took the pictures directly on the camera's memory with no memory card...D'uh!! lol...i'll post them asap. So, see ya in a while!!

Stamp Crazy...ME?
So I said I'd be back with some new crafts and here they are. The first is a little book mark I made using a set by The Greeting Farm formerly known as Pink Poison , www.thegreetingfarm.com, called "Sweet Deal" ( just had to use the little monkey, absoluely adorable!!). I used the Martha Stewart lil set for the polka dots and the bottom which i stamped in Staz On brown and then colored them in with my Prisma Markers...Man,I have to save up for those Copics. Funny thing about this lil bookmark...i was supposed to be reading for one of my classes, but I couldn't get stamping off the brain. WHOOPS!!
This next lil card is using an adorable set by My Favorite Things, www.mftstamps.com, its one of thier mini sets called "shower time". The inspiration came from one of my many shopping trips to Wal-mart and searching through the Valentines aisle. The outside says "Time to Shower..." and the inside "you with love". Nice huh LOL. I'll probably be working on more valentines cards this next week. Still debating whether or not to hand make the ones I'll be taking to my 1st graders...they love those hand made things :0).
Well, that's all I've got for tonight. See ya later alligator!!
